He has  a Bachelors degree in Business Management (Finance & Banking) and  a masters’ degree in Business Administration (Finance). He is also a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and  a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) in 2010.

He has a cumulative experience of 12 years in the field of Banking, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Human Resource, Governance and Management. He also served as Secretary/CEO to the County Public Service Board in Mandera County Government prior to his appointment. He holds credibility and accountability as his personal values
