Mohamed Ali was Born in Wajir on 12^th December 1964. He attended Giriftu primary, kabarak high school, Kenya polytechnic, Kampala University, Mount Kenya University and Kenyatta University.

He has diploma in applied biology from Kenya poly, diploma in disaster management from Kenya institute of open learning, bachelor of development studies from Kampala University, masters in governance and ethics from Mount Kenya University, executive masters of public policy and administration from Kenyatta University and currently pursuing PHD in public policy and management at Kenya University.

Other trainings he has include senior management course and strategic leadership course at Kenya school of government.

Mr. Mohamed has 30 years experience in public works in the ministry of water in various cadres e.g.  District water officer, director of water service and currently CEC in water, energy and environment and national resources.
