Bare Mohamed Shabure

The Hon. Barre Mohamed Shabure was born on 1975 in Rhamu in the current Mandera
North Constituency of Mandera County. He went to Rhamu Nomadic Primary School
and Mandera Secondary school for his ‘A’ and ‘O’level respectively. He later proceeded
to Mosoriot Teachers Training College in 1994 where he acquired a Primary Teacher
Education Certificate (P1).
He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Education from the
University of Nairobi (UoN) in the year 2008. Mr. Barre is a holder of Master Degree in
Education (Leadership and Management) from Mount Kenya University in the year 2014.
Prior to his appointment as County Executive Committee Member (CECM) by H.E the
Governor of Mandera County Government.

Hon. Barre boast of over twenty six (26)
years’ work experience spanning from middle level to the head of department in the
management of government affairs. While a career teacher he taught in Several Schools
among them; Khadija Girls Primary School, Khalalio Boys Secondary School and
Mandera Secondary School as a senior teacher before joining Politics where he served as
a pioneer Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Kiliwehiri Ward in Banisa
Constituency between the year 2013 – 2017.

Upon completion of his term as MCA, Hon. Barre was appointed as Chief Officer in the
Department of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning where he served for Five (5) year
term from 2018 – 2022. He is currently serving as the CECM in the Ministry of Public
Service, Administration, Devolve unit, Community Cohesion and Conflict Management
the position he was appointed to effective from December, 2022.
