Mandera County Celebrates Return of Graduates from Turkiye

The County Government of Mandera has reaffirmed its commitment to investing in education as a driver for youth empowerment and sustainable development.

Earlier today, H.E. Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif met with a group of students who recently returned from Turkiye after successfully completing their university studies. The graduates were part of a fully sponsored program by the county government aimed at equipping local youth with world-class education and skills.

The cohort pursued a diverse range of programs, including Nursing, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biochemistry, and Bioengineering, among others.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Khalif praised the graduates for their dedication and hard work, noting that their expertise will be instrumental in advancing the county’s socio-economic growth. He assured them of the county government’s support in creating employment opportunities that will allow them to gain practical experience and contribute meaningfully to Mandera’s development agenda.

“This is an important milestone for our county. By investing in the education of our youth, we are not only transforming individual lives but also building the human capital necessary to drive development,” Governor Khalif stated.

The initiative forms part of Mandera County’s broader strategy to enhance capacity in critical sectors such as healthcare, engineering, and science, ensuring that local expertise can meet the region’s evolving needs.
