DANDU, Mandera County — Governor H.E. Mohamed Adan Khalif on Monday presided over the official opening of the Dandu Sub-County Headquarters, marking a significant milestone in the county’s push to bring government services closer to residents.
Serving as chief guest at the ceremony held in Dandu Town, Governor Khalif was joined by Mandera Senator Capt. Ali Ibrahim Roba, host Member of Parliament Hon. Adan Haji, Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), and local opinion leaders.
Addressing those gathered, the Governor said the operationalization of the new headquarters would significantly improve access to government services, enhance security, and accelerate socio-economic development across the area.
“The operationalization of this sub-county headquarters will bring services closer to our people and open new opportunities for growth,” the Governor noted, underscoring the facility’s role in strengthening local administration.
Governor Khalif further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with National Government agencies through the Department of Devolved Units. He said the collaboration would ensure the effective implementation of both county and national government programmes in Dandu Sub-County.
The opening is expected to ease residents’ access to public services that were previously difficult to reach, while boosting coordination between the county and national governments in the region.
