Uncategorized

MANDERA, Mandera County — Mandera County on Monday officially launched its 3rd Generation County Nutrition Action Plan, reaffirming its commitment to improving the nutritional status and well-being of mothers, infants, children, adolescents, and other vulnerable groups.

The five-year plan provides a coordinated framework for implementing evidence-based nutrition interventions through strengthened multi-sectoral collaboration among government departments, development partners, civil society, and communities.

It outlines strategic actions to prevent and reduce malnutrition, improve food and nutrition security, and build resilient health and nutrition systems across the county.

Officials described the launch as a significant milestone in the county’s efforts to accelerate progress toward improved nutrition outcomes and to achieve national and global nutrition targets — ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to lead a healthier and more productive life.

The launch was supported by RACIDA and Concern Worldwide through the Hanaano Program.
