Health Poverty Action has donated 25,000 Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Testing kits to Mandera County Government’s Ministry of Health.
The project entitled Antigen Rapid Diagnostic Testing COVID-19 Testing Scaling-up (ACT) in Kenya is funded by Foundation for Innovation New Diagnostics (FIND). Health Poverty Action in close collaboration with the Ministry Of Health Mandera County will enhance access to quality COVID-19 Ag-RDT tests in the target communities to prevent further spread of COVID-19 infection in the target vulnerable communities and conduct community based testing through mass testing campaigns, detection of current infections and contact tracing.
The supplies will provide vital support in the mitigation and fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was presided over by County Chief Officer Medical Services Mr Abukar Sheikh, County Chief Officer Public Health Mrs Rahma Abdullahi, County Director of Health Dr Abdi Maalim and Health Poverty Action Country Program Manager Mr Ibrahim Mohamed.
