KCB Group CEO, Mr. Paul Russo, EBS, visited the Mandera County headquarters today for a high-level meeting with senior county officials. The discussions focused on enhancing ongoing initiatives and improving services to benefit the people of Mandera.
During the meeting, Mr. Russo expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and commended the strong, long-standing partnership between KCB and the County Government of Mandera. He emphasized KCB’s commitment to supporting local communities and fostering sustainable development in the region.
County officials took the opportunity to request KCB’s support in implementing key programs aimed at empowering residents. Among the highlighted initiatives were Mfugo ni Mali, a program designed to support the livestock sector, 2jiajiri, which focuses on empowering youth and entrepreneurs, the Greening initiative, and other empowerment projects targeted at women and youth.
“These programs hold significant potential to uplift local livelihoods and foster sustainable development. The County Government of Mandera is keen to ensure that our residents can fully benefit from these opportunities,” said the Deputy County Secretary during the meeting.
A key point of discussion was the pending Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the County Government of Mandera and KCB. County officials urged Mr. Russo to expedite the signing of the MOU, which is expected to solidify the collaboration and pave the way for more impactful projects in the future.
