Mandera County and Aga Khan University Conclude Collaborative Training on Gender, ECD, and Play-Based Learning

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (ECDE), in collaboration with the Aga Khan University Institute of Human Development (AKU-IHD), successfully concluded a 5-day training on Gender and Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Play-Based Learning. The training brought together participants from various sectors, including the Departments of ECDE, Health, Water Services, and Child Protection.

This workshop represents a significant milestone in improving the quality of education and care for ECDE learners in Mandera County. The County Government of Mandera extended its gratitude to the Aga Khan University Institute of Human Development for their support and partnership in this initiative.

The workshop was officially closed by the Deputy County Secretary, Mr. Hassanoor Adan, with the attendance of several key county officials, including CCO Education and ECDE Dr. Abdikadir Adan, CCO Public Service Management Mr. Mohamed Mohamud, CCO ICT Mr. Kassim Yussuf, and CCO Youth and Sports Mr. Abdiwahab Mohamed. The Aga Khan University Institute of Human Development team was led by Madam Margaret.

This marks the third cycle of training organized by the Aga Khan University Institute of Human Development, benefiting 30 participants in total.
