The County Government of Mandera has launched fresh efforts to enhance its own source revenue to generate more resources for development.
To steer this initiative, H.E. Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif has engaged a team of experts from Ecocapp Capital Ltd, an advisory firm led by former Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi. The firm has achieved notable success in similar assignments across Homa Bay, Laikipia, Nyamira, and Kisumu counties.
Today, the Ecocapp team presented a summary of the findings from the Own Source Revenue Diagnostic Report for Mandera County.
In a productive session attended by H.E. Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif, Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. Ali Maalim, County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers, Directors, and other senior officials, the presentation outlined strategies to enhance own source revenue, emphasizing service delivery as a key driver of revenue collection.
Additionally, new revenue targets were set for all ministries and relevant departments, with a revenue mobilization exercise across all sub-counties identified as a critical step in achieving the set goals.
